Young STEAMers Academy
Empowering the Next Generation of STEAM Educators
The Young STEAMers Academy is a leadership and mentorship program designed to empower high school students to become the next generation of STEAM educators, role models, and community leaders.
Through hands-on training, mentorship, and real classroom experience, Academy participants develop valuable skills in teaching, communication, leadership, and teamwork while helping inspire younger students through engaging STEAM activities.
Participants work closely with the Young STEAMers team to:
-
Learn how to teach hands-on STEAM lessons
-
Develop leadership and public speaking skills
-
Gain experience working with children
-
Shadow experienced instructors
-
Build confidence in mentoring and teaching
-
Explore future careers in STEAM and education
By the end of the program, students transition from learners to leaders, teaching portions of lessons, supporting community programs, and becoming an important part of the Young STEAMers mission to make STEAM education accessible, creative, and fun for all children.
The Academy is offered free of charge to selected students. High school participants will receive volunteer service hours for their involvement, and students who successfully complete the program may be considered for future paid opportunities as entry-level Young STEAMers instructors after graduating from high school.
